Shipbuilding – Projects and Qualified Teams

Shipbuilding is specialist craftsmanship: steel construction at extreme scale with the highest demands on welding quality, corrosion protection, and dimensional accuracy. The trade covers section construction (prefabrication of large hull sections), weld assembly on the slipway, pipework for fuel, water, hydraulics, machinery installation (main propulsion, generators, auxiliaries), interior fit-out, deck equipment, and repairs in dry dock and floating dock. Shipyards in Germany (Meyer, Lürssen, German Naval Yards) and Poland (Remontowa, Gdańsk, Szczecin) continuously engage subcontractors for steelwork, welding, pipework, and machinery. Example Germany: welding of marine steels follows DIN EN 9606, classification by DNV, Lloyd's Register, or Bureau Veritas.
